Graduate Research Assistantships Available
I am currently looking for highly-motivated Ph.D. students ( outstanding Post-docs will also be considered) to perform advanced research in the fields of real-time computing, embedded systems, computer architecture and compiles. An important goal of this research is to develop novel architectural/compiler techniques to address the challenging computing and communication problems caused by the evolving technologies and demanding applications, such as time predictability, performance, power dissipation, reliability and security.
Ph.D. candidates or perspective Ph.D. students with the above research
background are encouraged to apply (Currently, I am interested only in
Ph.D. students. I would consider M.S. students with an exceptional research/education
background). Excellent experience in programming (C, C++ or Java) is a
must, since most of my research projects are simulation-driven. Preference
will be given to students who have taken my graduate course, or have worked
with me on a semester-long research project. Those who are interested can
contact me by zhang@engr.siu.edu or stop by my office. The information
about our Ph.D. program can be found at http://www.engr.siu.edu/phd/.
