ECE 554 Spread Spectrum Communication

Concepts of spread spectrum systems, frequency hopping and direct sequence systems.  Anti-jamming performance analysis, synchronization schemes, and systems with forward error correction.

Credit Hours: 3 Lecture

Prerequisites: ECE 552 or consent of instructor

1. To provide electrical and computer engineering majors with the ability to analyze spread spectrum modulation and demodulation procedures.

2. To familiarize the students with the design of synchronization and detection circuits for spread spectrum communication.

3. To provide an understanding of pseudo random shift register sequences.
