HOW TO GET HERE
The closest major airport is St. Louis Lambert Airport, 2 hours to the west. The other close metropolitan area is Chicago (6 hours north). There are two regional airports: Williamson County Regional Airport (Marion, IL) is the closest local airport to Carbondale (30 min). The airport is serviced by American Connection. A flight can be arranged from St. Louis. We will provide shuttle service from the Williamson County Airport to Carbondale. Barkley Regional Airport (Paducah, KY) is about 1-1/2 hour drive from Carbondale. This airport is serviced by Northwest and American Connection.
Those who wish to drive, please follow these driving directions or Visit MapQuest.com: From St. Louis (Approximately 2-1/2 hour drive) 1. From St. Louis Airport, Interstate 70 East. 2. Take 70 East into Illinois and then follow I 64 East.3. Exit at Carlyle/Nashville Rt. 127 South towards Nashville.4. Continue to Rt. 13 East. This will bring you into Carbondale.a. All hotels are located on the east side of Carbondale on Rt. 13: 1. If staying at Super 8, 1180 East Main, north side of the road, directlyacross from the University Mall. 2. If staying at Quality Inn or Ramada Limited, proceed on Rt. 13 to GiantCity Road. Turn south onto Giant City road and both hotels are located on the east side of the road. 3. If staying at Hampton Inn, proceed east out of town. At the first stoplight,approximately one mile, turn north on Reed Station Road. Turn left at the first road.
From Mid-America Airport, Mascoutah, IL (Approximately 2 hours drive) 1. Rt. 4 North to2. I 64 East.3. Follow directions from St. Louis starting with #3.
From Indianapolis, IN (Approximately 4 hours drive) 1. East on Airport Expressway.2. I 465 East then exit onto3. I 70 West towards St. Louis4. I 57 South at Effingham IL5. At Marion IL exit on Rt. 13 West to Carbondalea. If staying at the Hampton Inn, turn north (right) onto Reed Station Road.Turn left at the first road. Reed Station Road is the first stop light after passing the Honda dealership. b.
