All papers where the first author was a
student and which were presented by the student entered into
the paper contest.
Both graduate and undergraduate
students participated in the competition.
Each paper was graded by four judges on the following 11
aspects:

Organization: Paper has a
clearly defined introduction, body, and conclusions with
transition between each.

Logical Development.

Poise, Eye Contact.

Correct Use of English.

Clarity and Directness

Original, Elegant.

Apparent Technical and Factual Accuracy and Grasp of the
Subject.

Well Supported Analytically and/or Experimentally.

Use of Graphic Aids.

Use of Examples.

Paper Discussion.
