ECE ArchivesTerahertz Optical A/D ConverterThe U.S. Navy, Office of Naval Research has awarded a three-year, $500,000 grant to Mohammad Sayeh to investigate an optical architecture based on a delta-sigma modulator with a potential to approach the terahertz A/D conversion rate. Fast and reliable A/D converters are needed for sampling of high-speed RF signals.
