Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Admission Requirements

The program is designed for individuals holding a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical or computer engineering, or related field. Qualified applicants with a Bachelor of Science in other areas of engineering and science may be able to enroll in the program with additional preparation (approved by the Department on a case-by-case basis).

Admission to the program is based on the following factors: Grade point average, class ranking, GRE scores (optional) and faculty recommendation letters. The admission requirements of the Department are higher than the minimum requirements of the Graduate School. The TOEFL score requirement for international applicants is 550 (the same as required by the Graduate School). Admission to the program is granted by the Chair of the Department, upon recommendation by the faculty.
