Precision Pacing
Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association (IPLSA)

IPLSA will establish a network of points on the ground.  The objective is to correctly guess the distance from the starting point to the ending point, following the course established.  This distance will be measured with an electronic distance-measuring device.  The person closest to the correct distance will be declared the winner.  Pictures

RULES:
1.  No graduated measuring devices are to be used.  (Pacing is legal, but no heel to toe.)

2.  Officers of IPLSA will set the course and will pass final judgment on rule interpretation and the winner.

3.  Distances will be recorded to the nearest 1/100 of a foot by an IPLSA member present.
