Society of Women Engineers (SWE)

The contestant will design and construct a “puff” driven car using simple materials including straws, Lifesavers, and paper.  Design for distance with minimal interaction.

MATERIALS:
 3 drinking straws
4 Lifesavers
1 piece of paper
2 paper clips
Tape
Scissors

RULES:
1. Make a car using only the materials on the list, keeping in mind that the only way to make the car move is by blowing on it.

2. Test out the car to see how far it goes with one blow.

3. Test out the car to see how many blows it takes to make the car travel 6 feet.
