Royal House Flush Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)
The contestant will build the tallest possible structure out of standard playing cards. Pictures
RULES:
1. Only those materials provided by SHPE for the contest can be utilized.
2. Each contestant will be provided with 3 decks of standard playing cards (a total of 156 cards).
3. No mutilation of cards allowed, including but not limited to bending and tearing.
4. At the most, 4 contestants at a time will be allowed to participate in a session.
5. Every contestant must have his or her card house officially measured and the number of cards used counted by a SHPE representative. Therefore, the card house must remain standing until it is officially measured.
6. Contestants must return all cards (156 cards) to contest judges.
7. Any contestant found to be involved in foul play--i.e., deliberately interfering with another contestant or that contestant's work or otherwise breaking any of these rules--will be immediately disqualified from that session and all other sessions of this contest.
8. Points are based on measured height as measured with a rules, tape, or yardstick by a SHPE representative, not the number of stories.
9. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the tallest structure having used the fewest cards. Measured height always beats fewest cards. |
