Purpose

The Illinois Mining Institute has for its object the advancement of the mining industry 

1. by encouraging and promoting the study and investigation of mining problems, 

2. by encouraging education in practical and scientific mining, and 

3. by diffusing information in regard to ending that would be of benefit to its members.
