To obtain a temporary visitors pass:

At the Shiloh gate entrance to the base, turn left into the parking area for the Visitor Control Center (VCC).  Inside the VCC, go to the desk and sign in on the clipboard at the front desk indicating that you need a short-term visitor pass, take a seat and your name will be called.  (Service members have priority, so there may be a bit of a wait.)

When called to the front desk, state that you have an appointment with SIUC-IT at the Education Center.  If necessary, give them the base phone number to the office – 256-1674.   Have your driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of vehicle insurance ready to present to the VCC personnel.  They will then issue you a temporary ID & Vehicle Pass.

Provide the paperwork to the gate guard as you drive onto the base.  Watch for posted speed limits!  Speed limits are 30 mph in most areas, 20 mph in some areas, and 10 mph in parking lots.  Hand-held cell phone use is prohibited while operating a motor vehicle — penalty is a ticket and $100 fine.

Please check for special restrictions if operating a motorcycle on base.
