The primary mission
of Scott AFB is global mobility. The
base commands and controls all logistics of United States military in air, over
land and across the sea. Team Scott sets
policies and executes all air mobility operations. The installation is responsible for Unites
States aero medical evacuation, operational support airlift in the C-21,
air-refueling missions in the KC-135 and distinguished visitor airlift in the
C9-C. Scott AFB also supplies forces to
theater combatant commanders.
Scott Air Force Base is located about 20 miles east of St. Louis, MO near Belleville, IL. The Shiloh Gate entrance is 1.5 miles southeast of Interstate 64 (Exit 19A) at Route 158.
