NSF Project: CSR-EHS: A Dynamic Compilation Framework for Energy Reduction on Mobile
Devices

REU Project 1: study the impact of dynamic compiler optimizations on both the
performance and energy consumption under different energy evaluation
models based on Wattch.

REU Project 2: investigate dynamic compiler guided resource adaptation to
achieve the best energy delay product.

Basic requirements: 1) familiar with Java and C programming
                                 2) basic understanding of computer architecture

Preferred background: 1) compiler, espeically JIT compiler
                                      2) Java Virtual Machine, especially Jikes RVM from IBM.

Project Duration: Summer 2008 (and can be possibly extended to Fall 2008)
