Biography

I am currently an assistant professor in the ECE Department at Southern Illinois University. I received my Ph.D. in computer engineering from Clemson University in 2014, my M.E. degree from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2008, and my B.E. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2005.

Research Interests

My research aims to improve the network service (in terms of QoS, reliability, efficiency, etc.) in various scenarios such as heterogeneous wireless networks, data center networks, ad hoc/delay tolerant networks, internet of things (connected vehicles), and 5G. My envision is to see a future in which the network (both fixed and wireless) is fully virtualized through emerging protocols and tools (e.g., Multipath TCP, Cloud, NFV, and SDN) for very easy and flexible management and usage (as if using a software).
