LabVolt Experiment 5: Three-Phase Motor Characteristics
This collection of videos shows how to use LabVolt LVsim Web-based motor/power systems simulator software. Online students will use the software to perform experiments on motors, generators and other electrical devices just like students taking courses on campus. This series of presentations explains how the software works and shows how to make connections for each lab activity. It is best to review these presentations before attempting to use the LVsim software.
This lab activity requires the following LabVolt Modules and equipment:
- 8221-2 Four-Pole Squirrel-Cage INducton Motor
- 8823 Power Supply
- 8951-L Connection Leads
- 8942 Timing Belt
- 8960-C Four-Quadrant Dynamometer/Power Supply
