Experiment 9: Analog Input and Output Using a PLC

This video collection shows how collect and utilize analog information for futher processing in a PLC.  Modern PLCs can have external modules that read and write analog voltages and currents to control other devices that require a continuous signal. Connected Components Workbench (CCW) software by Allen Bradley supports analog I/O.  Students will setup analog input and use the value in a ladder program.

Connected Components WorkBench software can program the Mirco800 series PLCs along with touchscreens and ac variable speed drives. The software version used in this course is available for download from here. This lab activity provides practice with analog input and ladder programs.
